LaseMD Ultra is a low-downtime laser that resurfaces the skin, gives a brighter tone and improved texture. Treatments can be customized for your particular needs and schedule. ULTRA can be used anywhere on the body for treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, freckles, sun spots, non-cancerous pigmented lesions, and sun damage.

LaseMD Ultra uses a 1927 nm wavelength thulium laser. This is a great wavelength for treating pigmentation because it’s highly absorbed by the water in the skin. LaseMD Ultra has the highest power of any other fractional non-ablative devices known on the market.

LaseMD Ultra is a fully customizable treatment delivered at the perfect intensity for your skin type and concerns. It can provide everything from mild resurfacing to a more aggressive approach. The treatment is relatively comfortable, but you may feel a bit of warmth as the laser passes over your skin.

Lutronic LaseMD Ultra is the next generation thulium laser and has significant improvements over the LaseMD. Most importantly, it has 20 watts of power as opposed to LaseMD, which has 5 watts. Therefore, treatments with ULTRA are faster and can be titrated to a more powerful strength, giving improved results.

How does ULTRA work?

● LaseMD Ultra is a 1927 nm wavelength laser which resurfaces the skin in the epidermis and dermis.

● LaseMD Ultra targets water instead of pigment, resulting in a more even treatment. It is less likely to cause unintentional burns than IPL which targets the pigment. Thus, it is safe for all skin types.

● LaseMD Ultra causes non-ablative, microscopic injuries which stimulates new collagen production, and has a fast recovery period.

1. Cleansing and Skin Analysis

Gentle cleansing of the skin surface and preparation of the skin for laser treatment. Analysis of the skin of the patient to target indications with needed active ingredients in LaseMD Ultra Serum after lasering.

2. Numbing

This step is needed only in extraordinary cases when the patient is extremely sensitive.

3. Lasering with ULTRA

Patients describe the Ultra treatment as a warm, tingling sensation which may vary. The treatment time may range from 30 to 60 minutes or longer depending on how much area is being treated.

4. LaseMD ULTRA Individual Skin Booster Serum

Before the laser treatment, we do a skin analysis and choose an individual dual- phased LaseMD Ultra Skin Booster Serum. We activate and mix ingredients right at the start of the treatment and putting the bottle into ULTRA centrifuge. After the laser treatment we apply a serum with active ingredients directly on the treated areas. Resurfaced skin guarantees very deep absorption and therefore intensive results.

5. Post-laser treatment mask

After lasering and application of the LaseMD Ultra Serum we close our treatment with the post-treatment calming mask.

LaseMD Ultra Serum

You will leave our practice with a bottle of individually prepared LaseMD Ultra Serum for you to continue your home skin care after treatment with special ingredients. The following 5-7 days, your skin will have a dry, sandpaper-like texture. This is normal and will resolve as your skin exfoliates, revealing fresher, clearer skin.

Pre-Care

● If possible, wash your face and do not apply any make-up, lotions, sunscreens or any other cosmetics to the skin of treatment area prior to arrival.

● Avoid sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Tanned skin can shade blood vessels from the laser light, making the treatment less effective and increasing the chance of discoloration.

Post Care

● Patients may experience burning sensation for 1-2 hours immediately after the treatment. Cooling with an ice pack can provide relief to the treated area. Make sure to enclose the ice pack in sterile and dry gauze to prevent water from penetrating the tissue in the treated area.

● Keep the treatment area moisturized. After the first day, gently wash and pat the skin gently dry for two days. Do not scrub the treated area. Moisturize daily. Usually, any crust will separate naturally within 5-7 days after the treatment.

● Please do not use cosmetics which contain active ingredients such as Retinol or AHA after treatment without prior permission from the doctor.

● Avoid exercising for the first week post-treatment or until initial healing has occurred. Increased redness may result from any activity that increases blood flow or body temperature (e.g. alcohol consumption, exercise, and sauna).

● Avoid using cosmetics containing alcohol for at least 1 week after treatment.

● For at least 20 days after treatment, apply UV A/B sunblock daily with SPF of at least 30. Use an umbrella, hat or any other available protection against sunlight while spending time outdoors.
